Protocols (PLCs and other hardware)

GoPxL supports various protocols for communicating with sensors over Ethernet (TCP/IP).

The following protocols are available:

• Modbus
• EtherNet/IP
• PROFINET
• ASCII

The connection mappings for the industrial protocols (PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, and Modbus) have changed to correct a byte alignment issue. To allow communication between PLCs and GoPxL 1.2, you may need to update PLC logic created for GoPxL 1.1. For EtherNet/IP, the EDS file has been updated to reflect the changes.
